We're here to help!
Many students have spent hours (and hours!) prepping for the SATs and ACTs over the past few months, only to find out that the spring tests have been canceled and/or postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. In response, many colleges and universities across the country are enacting test-optional policies for prospective students (YAY!).
This means that admissions officers will have one less criterion in which to assess your fit for their institution. The result? Your college application essays will hold that much more weight in the upcoming admissions cycle. This is great news, as we believe your essays give admissions additional insight into who you are and who you hope to become. (Plus, it’s is especially excellent news for students who are not great test-takers — spoiler alert: neither were we!)
So, without further ado, please find a complete list of schools that have implemented (or have already implemented prior to COVID-19) test-optional policies — with links to sources for more information — below. We hope you find this resource to be helpful!
