Although optional, this essay is a perfect place to differentiate yourself from other applicants and your dreams for your college career from the stack of essays admissions will read. Think about an aspect of your personality, identity, or background that makes you unique. Is your parent a state politician, so you spent long stretches of your childhood on the campaign trail? Maybe your time listening to stump speeches inspired you to study Political Science and Government to become a speechwriter. Have you been building apps since you first learned how to code? Maybe that groundwork has set you up for success as a Computer Science major and beyond. You only have 100 words to work with, so make them count!
