Endicott wants to accept students from a range of backgrounds who will contribute to their community, so tell admissions about what makes you you and how that will inform your engagement with your peers. Think about times when people have been intrigued by or curious about your identity, skillset, or background. Maybe you spent hours as a kid doing Star Wars Legos with your dad which was not only good bonding time with your father but also fostered your love of both engineering and science fiction. Perhaps you grew up in an intergenerational household with your Spanish-speaking grandparents, so you’re fully bilingual and bicultural. What has influenced your identity? What do you believe and how will your worldview bring something of value to the community at Endicott? How will you incorporate this element of your identity to enrich the world around you? Since this essay has no stated word count, focus on what you want to share about yourself. We recommend aiming for somewhere between 100 and 500 words.
This is a classic Why Essay if we’ve ever seen one. Now’s the time to put on your research hat and spend some time exploring Endicott’s campus or website, so you can communicate your interest for admissions. In other words, show off your fit! Dig beyond the basic facts and figures to learn about your prospective major(s), uncover classes you want to take, delve into the contents of the school library, and/or peruse the list of clubs and volunteer opportunities. Beyond what you would gain from your education, you should also think about what you would contribute to their community. Make sure to tell admissions something new that they wouldn’t already know about you by reviewing the rest of your application!
